Teen Clay: Wednesdays 4:00

This class is built for teens who want a real creative outlet and a way to imaginatively express themselves.

This class will teach you how to actually build things out of clay, both sculptural forms and functional pieces by hand. Learn the techniques that make clay hold together and create shape and forms. From there, make it yours — carving, texturing, glazing, and finishing techniques that turn a basic shape into something that expresses your artistic ideas and vision.

With an instructor's support, you’ll plan your own projects, troubleshoot when things don't go as planned, and create pieces you're actually proud of with skills that you’ve learned to develop and hone in a creative and supportive environment.
What they'll learn: Handbuilding techniques, tactile exploration, imaginative design, and the patience of watching a project come together over several weeks.
What to bring: clothes that can get dirty — we provide everything else!
